Welcome to another Five Minute Friday. The day and the place where we write for Five Minutes off a prompt word given each week. This week our word is WAIT. So, let.s go!

WAIT is a word

we seldom like to hear.

Cause in this day and age

in a snap, we want it near.

Yes, as we snap our fingers

we want it here and now.

WAIT is not a word

our vocabulary will allow.

Even with our cellphones

we want it one, two, three.

“Siri, can you find that

I need it, immediately!”

But you see it’s in the waiting

God’s working His best for you.

Although we can not see it

that’s what He’s trying to do.

He’s the one Who sets the stage

and then we play the part.

He brings forth the characters

and sets each one apart.

But sometimes in our impatience

we try to hurry Him along.

Then things get out of place

and not where they belong.

But today with a Word of Wisdom

if you’re trying to push God’s hand.

Oh my friend, sit back

and praise Him where you stand.

Praise Him for His timing

and for what He’s about to do.

Knowing in your heart

His best interest, — is only YOU!

“But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,

    they will walk and not be faint. ” Isiah 40:13

Remember everything has a time and a season. And since each one carries its own beauty, so will the changes of seasons in your life.
