Pen 4 The Lord

Seeds of Strength Hope & Encouragement

A few days ago, I believe, we witnessed a miracle. Read on and you’ll see what I mean.

My husband, Jon was scheduled to have a cyst removed from his back.

Last Saturday, while we were at the beach, he asked me to put suntan lotion on his back — I paused. I noticed that the cyst that was scheduled to be removed in the upcoming week, seemed to be smaller than a few weeks ago.

Well, surgery day rolled around, and it was time for his appointment. When we got to the doctor’s office, they directed us to the room where the surgery was going to be performed, it went a little like this ~

Nurse: (speaking to Jon) “Can you lift up your shirt so I can see where the doctor needs to do surgery, Jon?

Jon: (kinds smiling) “Well, I don’t know how to say this … but I think it’s disappeared!”

Nurse: (Tilts her head and takes a peek) “What??? Let me get the doctor right now!”

The Doctor walks in ~ “Well Jon, what’s this I hear? Where is this cyst? Can you lift up your shirt and let me take a look?”

Jon: (smiling at the doctor) “Well doc, I think Dr. Jesus beat you to the punch.”

Doctor: “Ok –that’s great, but let me just take a look and see what we’ve got here” (surprised and stunned) — “What? Where is it? — You’re right, it is completely gone! (The doctor looking now at both of us with a blank look on his face) I can’t explain it … I don’t know what to say. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this, but yes it’s gone!”

No one knew exactly what to say. We walked out of the office speechless and of course for Jon, excited — No Surgery!

But I must share, on Wednesday evening, the night just before this appointment, our church held a Praise in The Park along with Water Baptism. Jon was one of the candidates to be baptized. He was the first one in the water and the spirit of God was sweet over the entire evening.

Could the Lord have removed that cyst entirely? As we walked to our car Jon shared this with me about his prayer time with the Lord about a week prior and why God wanted to heal him. Sign up to join my e-mail and hear what the Lord said to him… You’ll be amazed as I was. I’ll share the outcome on next weeks devotional! You won’t want to miss it!

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

If you need prayer, please drop me a line and we’ll connect!

Blessing,

Del
