How big is your faith, my friend?
Is it as big as one can imagine or maybe the size of a tiny mustard seed?
As you think about it, let me share a cute little story that will make you say, “Awe!”
Last week my three-year-old grandson, Vincenzo, took a fall. He was reaching for a bottle of water on the table and the chair went one way and his little body the other.
Sadly Grandma’s reactions weren’t quick enough to break the fall. He ended up with a bump on his head and a scratch on his back–I know, “Poor little guy 🙂
The first thing we did was to pray and grab the anointing oil from my purse and anoint him all over.
Last evening, I was at my daughters working on her computer. My little buddy was sitting under the desk as he loves to do when I’m in there. I noticed he was awful quiet.
“Hey, Vincenzo,” I peeked down and whispered. “Whacha doing under there?”
He reached out his little finger with a glob of something on the end. “What is that???”
He crawled out and pointed to his back. “Make the boo-boo go away Grandma,” he smiled.
This little guy had gone in my purse that was sitting under the desk, found my tin of anointing oil, and remembered from a few days ago that we used that very oil to pray for his back!
I was speechless. “Yes, of course, I will rub more on your back.”
“When you do,” he said, “Jesus can make it better all the way.”
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 7:20
So I ask again. What size is your faith? This little guy had the faith of that little glob of anointing oil on his finger believing if Grandma rubbed it on his back that Jesus could heal it. Even I am stunned.
What is hurting you? What do you need that little glob of anointing oil to heal for you? Why not reach out like Vincenzo and stretch your faith to believe that God is big enough to handle whatever it is you’re going through.
Be blessed and thanks for stopping by. See you soon,
Del

How sweet is the faith of a little child. If only, as adults, we had that same faith.
