When women hear the word mammogram, one word comes to mind — Ouch!
For you men out there, we know that you really can’t understand since you’ve never been taken behind the curtain, but take our word for it — it is a killer!
Today took the prize! I think the technician performing my test, cranked the gear just a little bit too much and as a result, I feel like I am bruised within.
Maybe I look great on the outside, but no one knows what’s going on internally.
Have you ever been bruised from another? Wounded deep within where no one could see? See your hurt or know your pain?
Jesus talks to us many times about judging one another.
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. ” Matthew 7:1-2 (NIV)
Jesus tells us not to judge one another, or we will be judged with the same measure we use. Sometimes we judge others by their actions, by their words or even the way they look, but we are unable of seeing what’s going on the inside.
We are unable to see the bruises they might be feeling from a broken relationship — from someone who betrayed them yesterday or even years ago. And some might be carrying a permanent bruise from something they experienced way back as far as their early childhood.
That is why Jesus speaks to us about judging one another. Just because someone looks like they’ve got it all together on the outside, we’ll never know what’s within.
So maybe my bruise today is from a machine trying to detect a problem that could be lurking within, but someone else’s pain could be from something that’s already there.
Do you have a hurt? Are you bruised by someone that might have pushed a little too hard like my technician? If so, I challenge you today to find someone you love, and you trust that you can share what you’re feeling. Find a friend who will not judge you, but lend an ear of love and help to heal the deep, deep wounds you’ve covered so well.
And, if you’d like prayer, I’d love to hear from you. Just send me an e-mail so I can pray and seek the Holy Spirit for words of revelation for you. This just might be the day to begin the healing process for your new life ahead!
Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon …
Blessings,
Del
